Madison had their 1st football game a the new NEISD Heroes Stadium. They played O'Connor High and won the game 40 to 0. I took the kids along with their friends and of course Jaki's boyfriend did arrive later. So by time the game was over I had an overly full van. It was lots of fun and I think the kids had a good time and we even had a little rain.

Before the game there was a dedication for David Edwards, who was paralyzed while playing for the Mavericks in 2003 and died in February 2008, and was honored with David Edwards Drive outside the new Heroes Stadium. There was also lots of media coverage for this game due to the impact that David had on our Madison Community and his positive outlook on life that he passed on to kids from Elementary to High School.
