The Bike Rodeo & The HAIRCUT

November 11th,

In the early morning, Rana had Bike Rodeo at Fox Run and had a great time. Love that she got to see Uncle Gordon.

Then that afternoon after school Jaki got a trim, but Colin got a HAIRCUT. There was a post with a guy that had a nice haircut, so I asked Colin if he would go for that, he said sure, but about halfway thru he realized that alot more hair was coming off then he new. But we all love the new look and style. So hopefully, we can get it trimmed like that again.

Nana has arrived!

November 8th, 2009

Nana arrived in San Antonio on Monday evening and is staying with Keith and Carol for her winter spot. Which we are all thrilled since this will be our 1st Thanksgiving and 1st Christmas with the San Antonio great grandchildren. We could not have been more excited to see her and know that she is going to be here for a few months. I did make the kids take some pictures, but they only complained because they new that we had more time to take picture later, but I of course need some for now. There are also a few pictures of Devon riding Colin's little trick bike.

3rd Grade Perfomance at PTA Meeting

Nov. 3, 2009

Rana performed with her classmates at the Fox Run PTA meeting. I was really fun to hear them but even better to watch, since the did most of their song with sign language along with singing. Rana really did to seem to enjoy doing the performance.

October News

In October we had football games, where cousin's HS vs cousin's HS was on the football field. Jaki and her Cousin Cassadie made plans to get together when Madison played Smithson Valley, so we got to sit across the field from each other, then meet up after Madison beat Smithson Valley. Cousin Taylor even got to join in on the fun. But it was one cold night for a game. But everyone seemed to have a good time.

Kortney's birthday was on the 18th of October and she was with her dad, so a few days later we celebrated her birthday with family at her house. Ella really enjoyed the frosting off the cupcake.

We ended up with a Monkey in our pear tree. Rana for some unknown reason decided she need to climb up in the pear tree. We have always called her monkey girl, I guess the name really does fit.

On October 30th, Rana had Character Day, so she dressed up as an Eskimo. Madison's Homecoming game was also this same day, so Jaki finally got to where her mum. After school and before the game Coca Cola where Shana works was having a Halloween party so the kid's got to go and do some fun games and take pictures.

Happy Halloween!! Carving pumpkins and dressing up to go treat or treating. This year we had two groups the big kids and the little ones. Rana and Ella consisted of the little ones and Colin, Jaki, and Jaki's friend were the big kids. I was a quite night we didn't get many trick or treater's but the kids still raked up pretty good.

September News

Okay, I know it's been almost two month's, but I swear
I am trying to figure out where the time goes.

In September, Rana got to have lunch with Grandma Tonie at
Fox Run for the Grandparent's day lunch.
Here are a few pictures that a friend took for me along
with one from the school.

Then of course we got to have the joy of

Celebrating my Birthday at home with family.

It was our Niece Hope's Birthday also, so that is one

of the cool gifts I get every year

So between Grandparent's Day and Birthdays, we also had the Football games,

teenagers figuring out who is coming over and who is going where,

so taxi time here it comes.

Hopefully over the next few day's I will be able to

post more pictures and get caught up.

Then on Monday we meet up at Blanco Cafe with Robyn, Steve, Annette, & Scott. Brittany had already flown back to Colorado for work. It was loads of fun and it was so wonderful to talk and visit with everyone. Jaki's boyfriend Aaron join us. Bryan was unable to make it, but we took photos of everyone together since it had been so long since we had all seen everyone. Hopefully it won't be so long again.

Football Season Is Here!!

8-28-09
Madison had their 1st football game a the new NEISD Heroes Stadium. They played O'Connor High and won the game 40 to 0. I took the kids along with their friends and of course Jaki's boyfriend did arrive later. So by time the game was over I had an overly full van. It was lots of fun and I think the kids had a good time and we even had a little rain.

Before the game there was a dedication for David Edwards, who was paralyzed while playing for the Mavericks in 2003 and died in February 2008, and was honored with David Edwards Drive outside the new Heroes Stadium. There was also lots of media coverage for this game due to the impact that David had on our Madison Community and his positive outlook on life that he passed on to kids from Elementary to High School.

1st Day of School

8-24-09

The are off to school again!
Rana 3rd, Colin 6th (junior high), & Jaki 9th (High School).
I didn't get a picture of all 3 of them together in the morning since they all are leaving at different times to be dropped off or to catch the bus. So I made them all get together after school so I could get a picture.

Jaki decided she need to walk Colin to the bus stop, but she did return home before his bus came. She also ended up changing her clothes before heading off to school.

Jaki's 14th Party & Birthday!!

8-15-09

Jaki had her Birthday Party on the 15th instead of the Day before her birthday due to the fact most of her friends are in sports and were having practice or games. So it all worked out well and I believe the kids had a great time!! Swimming, Hot Dogs, Cake Ice Cream, and lots of fun!

8-23-09

On her Birthday we made a Brownie Cake and then had Dinner at Road House with mom and Aaron joining us for the afternoon. Dinner was for both Jaki & Bryan and yes we got the staff to sing Happy Birthday to Both of them. It was lots of fun and Jaki finally got to open her presents from us, since I told her she had to wait until her actual birthday.

Dating?? Boyfriends & Girlfriends

Okay, I am not sure I am ready for all this boyfriend and girlfriend stuff and dating. Jaki and Colin were suppose to go on a double date to the movies last week, but some plans feel thru and they didn't double date. Colin took his girlfriend and his sisters went with him on his date. Then on Friday I took the kids to see Harry Potter #6 and Jaki's boyfriend Aaron went with us along with Colin's friend Michael. On Sunday, Colin's girlfriend Nicole and Jaki's boyfriend Aaron and a few other kids came over to the house for an afternoon of swimming. Bryan had kid duty while I worked and he said all the kids had a great time and since Aaron was still here at the house when I got home, I took it as a good sign that Bryan didn't scare him to badly.

I have been a nice mom, I didn't take the camera out the 1st time Aaron came over. And I haven't taken one of Nicole since I haven't been here when she has.

So today I got to take a quick picture of Jaki and Aaron after swimming today.

Catch up Time!

Okay! So I really am behind on updating the Blog!

June 22 to 26
The kids went to VBS last week with A. Patty, Tyler and Kaylee. Rana & Kaylee got to do the VBS classes, while Colin, Jaki, & Tyler were helpers since they are now the big kids. I know that they had lots of fun and really enjoyed their week with A. Patty.

June 20th
At the coast for Friday & Saturday and came home on Sunday to celebrate Father's day with Bryan.
Jaki, Rana, Colin & Ella

June 7th - 18th
The kids have spent their time off and on at home or with Devon and Ella. The Girls even went and spent a few days with their friends The Sada's in Poth, TX. Jaki and Rana loved their time with Kayla and Melanie and all the animals on their property. And while the kids are having their busy social summer; Mom (Me), I got a full time Job. I started at the first week of the month and it has been really great. I am really enjoying the job and learning lots of different things about insurance. I am still teaching at the scrapbook store and doing PTA for Fox Run along with helping some of the up coming presidents at other schools with their questions. All in all I think this has been so far a really great summer for all of us, including Bryan. Even thought it seems he is constantly working which we are gratefully for, since we went so long without any overtime. Plus he will be taking some time off in August.

June 5, 2009

We started off Summer with having Aunt DJ coming over with her boys Remington & Drake for swimming and playing. Here are some pics of the kids in the pool and Jaki being the teenage we all know and love with the phone attached to her ear.

It's finally Summer Time

Here's the update for the Month.

Our Niece Cricket (April) added to our family a new beautiful Baby Boy on May 1st. So who now is a month old and I don't have a picture of yet.

And as usual May has lots of to do's:
*Teacher Appreciation (which was the 1st week of May)
*Mother's Day
*Birthdays - Joey, A. Carol, Madison, Cricket (April), Chloie, Hunter, Savy, Tonie, Johnt, Cassadie, & if I forgot you, I'm sorry
* Last field trips and the end of School clubs

* And the count down to the last day of School

This is a picture of Ella & Ashton whom I have been watching off and on thru out the month. Ella is so funny, because when she first meet Ashton she was trying to figure out WHY there was another little person at HER A. Gaelynn's house. I took this while I was sitting at red light on my way to subway to get the Fox Run Teacher's their lunch for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Below is a picture of Jaki after her awards ceremony for her accomplishments from Wood Middle School. The ceremony took place at Madison High School's Auditorium, this is where Jaki will be going next year, but most likely the Auditorium which has been there since the school open in the 1970's, will be gone due to the fact that they are building a new one with room for the art department.

I do have some pictures of Colin after his Graduation Ceremony from Fox Run on Thursday, but haven't put them on the computer yet, along with pictures of Rana on her last day of School.

We did celebrate Mother's day at our house with all the family, along with Savy's birthday on the 17th, and Grandma Tonie's birthday on the 25th. It just seems like the month just few by without us being able to take a breath.

As soon as I upload all the pictures from the month I'll add some to the blog. We hope all our family and friends are doing well.

Recap of April

The Coast Trip
4-24 & 25-09

Since we had a three day weekend we decided that we'd go down to the coast. I only last about 24 hours or so, but the kid's went down Thursday night and most of them didn't return until Sunday night. Devon, Mom, Kortney, Ella, Colin, Rana & Jaki seemed to have a great time along with getting very sunburned, but as usual my kids along with Devon & Ella it just tanned over. Some are just know peeling, but all in all everyone had a great time and really enjoyed themselves.

Easter Day 4-12-09

We got to celebrate Easter at our house. The kids hunted for their baskets & then their eggs. In the afternoon everyone else arrived. It was a nice sunny day and a relaxing one also. Can't ask the Easter Bunny for a better one.

Aunt Patty's Annual Easter Party 4-11-09

What more can you ask for? I guess we should have asked for no rain, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. Hunting Eggs, Dyeing Eggs, and then doing cascarones. Along with playing the left/right game with a box of cascarones. The rain didn't damper the kids one bit. Everyone really did have a great time.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ella!!

Today is Ella's 2nd Birthday. So Happy Birthday Ella-Bella!!

But yesterday, we celebrate her birthday at our house with family and friends. She seemed to have a great time, playing on the moon bounce, in the playhouse, garden and swings along with cousins and friends her age.

The Birthday girl with her crown.

We can't do cake with out having Elmo with us.
Yum-cake!!

Fiesta Texas

3-22-09

The kids & I went to Fiesta Texas to get our Season Passes done and then went around a rode some rides. We also checked out the new Wiggles World (which is really cute) for when we take Ella with us.

St. Patrick's Day

3-17-09
Normally, the kids are on Spring Break this week when St. Patrick's day is, but instead they were back in school, so they all definitely had to wear some kind of green. But my good friend D.J. Grant was down here from Border, TX and her kids are on Spring Break this week, so they came over after school to have dinner and for the kids to play and run off some energy. What a great way to spend the afternoon and evening.

Poncho

3-16-09

Our little Poncho puppy is as big as he's going to get. Rana wanted me to take a picture of him while he is smiling and this was the best I could get.

Rana is 8 years old

3-7-09

Happy Birthday Rana! Celebrating at home with family & friends. Jaki and Kacie helped paint faces. Rana loved all of her gifts and had them put away in her room that night before her and Sarah went to bed.

Ella even got her face painted, Kacie painted Sponge Bob on Ella's cheek, since Ella's new favorite is Sponge Bob. Rana had her face painted like a puppy's, along with Kaylee, Alejandra, Collin, Sarah's is poncho, and Jacqueline is a kitty.

Rana's theme for this year was Hanah Montana, so we now have lots of Hanah Montana stuff now. Probably not nearly as much as Cousin Hope, but a comfortable start.

Showcase

3-5-09
Colin and Rana participated in P.E. Showcase at Blossom for the NEISD Physical Education performance. Rana did a hula-hoop performance that was really awesome. And then Colin did a performance with Jump bands. Each grade level performed including our special ed students, we had about 6-8 elementary schools their performing it was such a wonderful show to watch and to see how talented all our children really are.

Recap of February 09

2-6-09

Rana had Rodeo Day at school. They had calf roping - where they roped a chair , barrel racing with stick horses, and a few other rodeo games. It was really fun to watch and the kids really had a great time.

2-14-09

Valentine's Day! We celebrated Valentine's day at home with Ella, Grandma Tonie, and Uncle Sonny. The kids opened gifts and cards from family. It was a nice relaxing day. Ella's movie for the weekend while she stayed with us was CARS. Jaki refused to watch anymore Tinkerbell, since that is what Rana had been watching all week when they went to bed.

2-25-09
Jaki's last basketball game, it was against Ed White, and they played really well, but still lost.

The kids have some big test next week so they are getting a little stressed out, but I think that they will do fine. And Rana is going to be 8 next weekend, so hard to believe that the baby isn't a baby anymore.
