Recap of February 09

2-6-09

Rana had Rodeo Day at school. They had calf roping - where they roped a chair , barrel racing with stick horses, and a few other rodeo games. It was really fun to watch and the kids really had a great time.

Valentine's Day! We celebrated Valentine's day at home with Ella, Grandma Tonie, and Uncle Sonny. The kids opened gifts and cards from family. It was a nice relaxing day. Ella's movie for the weekend while she stayed with us was CARS. Jaki refused to watch anymore Tinkerbell, since that is what Rana had been watching all week when they went to bed.

Jaki's last basketball game, it was against Ed White, and they played really well, but still lost.

The kids have some big test next week so they are getting a little stressed out, but I think that they will do fine. And Rana is going to be 8 next weekend, so hard to believe that the baby isn't a baby anymore.

Is it February already?

It is hard to believe that we have already made it all the way thru the month of January. Where did the time go? We all have been busy getting back into the routine of things and getting back to a regular schedule with Basketball Games, Mountain Biking, Cooking Club and of course work. We hope all our family and friends are doing well. I don't have any pictures to update with, we have been so busy that I haven't even had anytime to take some. Hard to believe I know, but it's true. On the down side Nana (Jean) is currently in the hospital, we don't have all the details, but she pulled her should out of socket and it looks like there might be some small fractures when she blacked out and fell while at home. She is doing therapy and they have run all kinds of test to see what caused the blackout, but of course have no answer. We all send our love and prayers and hope that she mends fast, but as she liked to say once she turned 80 everything seemed to fall apart, so it will take her sometime to mend and we wish her all our luck.

I will try to take some pictures of the kids soon, we have Rodeo, Valentine's Day, and Rana is performing on Tuesday at the PTA Meeting with the rest of the 2nd Grade Class.
