Off to Colorado

Well we are heading out in a couple of days to Colorado to visit My Uncle and Aunt in Whitewater. Everyone is so excited that kids can't wait to leave so that we can get up there. We are pretty much packed except for a few items. I will post pictures when we get back or if I have time I may and try to post some while we are there. The view there is spectacular and the weather is just wonderful. We hope that everyone has a safe and great 4th of July.

Fiesta Texas

Do you want to get a quick tan? Then go to Fiesta Texas for about 5 hours and you'll either get a good tan or a good sunburn depending on your sunscreen. The kids and I went on Thursday with Friends, Jennie & Joshua. Jennie and I work at the scrapbook store together and Joshua and Rana are in the same grade together. And since Joshua got to be at home this week without his sisters I thought it would be fun for Rana and Joshua to have a partner to ride rides with. Jaki and Colin have really gotten into riding roller coasters, so they were able to go and ride on the big kid rides. Us adults did a few rides, but mostly we watched and waited for the kids to have their fun and tried to stay in the shade as much as possible.

I think part of our goal for this summer is to get pictures with as many characters as possible at Fiesta Texas. So far we have Buggs, Tweety, Sylvester, Batman, Robin, Scooby, & Flash. The kids saw Pepe, Porky, and Daffy but passed on getting their pictures taken with them.

The Countdown is Over

Well the final countdown was over on Friday. My Mother-in-law has arrived and I'm not sure who was more excited her or all of us. Unfortunately, Bryan and I have had to work most of this weekend, but the Grandkids and Great-Grandkids have been able to keep her busy. Here are a few pictures from Saturday afternoon.

Summer Has Begun

We have made it thru to the last day of school. Jaki is going into the 8th grade, Colin into the 5th, and Rana into the 2nd grade. I'm not sure who was looking more forward to the summer, myself or the kids.

Josh, my nephew is now a High School graduate.

The ceremony was wonderful and the place was jammed packed. They even had to open up more seating so that all family and friends could sit.

Then of course we had to have a party for our Graduate, which we did at our house with family and friends. We had loads of food, swimming and of course lots of fun.

And last but not least, my nephew Justin had his 16th Birthday yesterday, so it's pretty much been party, rest, party, rest. But we have all enjoyed every moment of it.

The Count Down Begins

Well, we have 3 days of school left, 4 days until my nephew, Josh has his High School Graduation, and 12 days until my mother-in-law comes to visit for the summer. All of these are wonderful and exciting events for us, especially summer vacation. This is when we get to sleep in and stay up late, swim in the pool and go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The kids, my husband and myself are really looking forward to this summer and being able to spending time together without have to make sure someone is some where on time due to sports or other school events. Hope everyone has an enjoyable summer.
